key responsibilities

Deliver the project management of Operations investment projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, on time, on budget and to specifications.

Support operations to develop the Plant Master Plan, and manage Capex planning for execution.

Directly manage the internal lead disciplines, purchasing, construction and OEF's project manager in all phases of the capital project.

Development of capital project estimates, preparation, and submission of project summaries for approval.

Conducting all relevant project reviews with participation of key project team members; design, operability & maintainability, process hazards analysis, constructability.

Participate in preparation of Pre-Conceptual, Basic & Detailed Engineering design packages of capital projects.

Manage engineering & trade partners to compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, verifying that projects comply with various regulations.

Perform the basic engineering studies including appropriate safety and quality reviews to prepare the project’s investment files within +/- 10% accuracy prior to approval.

Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors during the planning and risk-analysis stages of a project

Prepare comprehensive project procedure manual including master & detailed schedules showing key milestones and critical path.

Manage the overall project capital goods purchasing effort, specifically the issuing of purchase orders to selected equipment and instrumentation vendors through technical purchasing.

Evaluate and render recommendations on change order requests initiated by engineering, fabrication and construction contractors.

Arrange for FAT inspections of appropriate purchased equipment and instruments prior to delivery.

Perform project commissioning phase and IQ/OQ stages of the project, prepare closeout reports and financially close the project in collaboration with Finance and Issue monthly project status reports following Global Engineering Guidelines.

Facilitate the Pre-Startup Safety Review and ensure necessary action items are completed in a timely manner.

Maintain current knowledge of the latest approaches and techniques for effective project management


Requirements

BS degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Chemical preferred

Graduate degree in Engineering, or Project Management is preferred

Approximately 5-10 years’ experience of demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in executing major construction capital projects, preferably in a F&F, FMCG, chemical, and/or ingredients manufacturing environment

Deep understanding of Operations, Capital projects, Maintenance and Engineering in an international environment and related KPIs to drive OEE and yields improvement

Prior experience with building construction management and installation of capital projects in LAM

Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing practices

Demonstrated previous experience in Process engineering, Project engineering or Maintenance, both in a direct implementation role and a supervisory role
